Put an affirmation on your Lock Screen

Most people read far more affirmations on the Lock Screen than inside any app. It costs nothing to glance at, and it is the one screen everybody sees a hundred times a day.

Lock Screen

1. Lock your iPhone, then press and hold the Lock Screen until it zooms out.
2. Tap Customise, then Lock Screen.
3. Tap the box under the clock, then find Here in the list.
4. Choose Rectangular for a short line, or Circular for just the mark. Tap the line above the clock instead if you want the one-line inline version.
5. Tap Done.

Home Screen

1. Press and hold an empty part of the Home Screen until the icons wobble.
2. Tap Edit, then Add Widget, and search for Here.
3. Pick the small or medium size and tap Add Widget.

Show only one topic

Press and hold the widget, tap Edit Widget, then Topic. Leave it on All my topics to draw from everything you follow, or pick one — mornings, sleep, whatever the week needs.

If the widget looks stuck

iOS decides when widgets refresh, usually every few hours, and it does that to save battery. Opening Here refills it immediately. If one is blank, remove it and add it again.
